f body vs. c4, what should i do?

Ive been setting on the fence with this for quite some time now. Ive been thinking of selling the car for the last year or so, Its a 1995 trans am 6 speed, with some bolt ons, and I know how its been treated and taken care of. The interior is the best ive ever saw for how many miles it has (78k), but I dont think it does it for me anymore. To many bad memories with it. Ive been debating on selling it and picking up a c4, to be exact, a 96 lt4 6 speed. The only down side to the vette, is most likely it would be completly stock, high miles, (70-100k) and i would have to take out a loan and sell my cbr to purchase it. If i keep my current car, it will get an le2 package in a few months, but im afraid as soon as i drop the money into it, i still wont be happy. Its just something about the car. What should i do guys? what would you do?

If the ta gives you bad memories and you wouldnt be happy w/ it even more modded id get the c4...Not a big fan of the c4 but the 96's are nice, 1 for the LT4 and 2 I think the bodystyle looks good w/ the zr1's...The LT4's run easy low 13's maybe 12's stock, a few good mods and it'll probably be running right w/ a LE2 LT1. C4's dont have the nicest interiors but there better then the Fbodys

I say stick with what you got and make it work. It sounds like you are going to have to go through alot of hassle to get the vette which is climbing in miles.

Don't go into debt for a car unless it's much newer.

I think ill take most peoples advice and stick with the t/a. Plus this way, ill get to keep the bike, or sell it for something else. Now its time to start my le2 project

The LT4 is a insane engine. Other wise TPI C4s are weak. Plus, the styling is from 1983. So, they don't look so good and have weak street cred. I would stick with the Bird........

Another thing to consider: if GM sticks with their original announcement that they won't be bringing back a 5th gen version of the Firebird/TransAm platform, then as soon as the Camaro 5th gen hits the market you can count on the 4th gen's street value going up.
