The way I have modified the exhaust system on my camaro doesnt make any sense.


I have stock manifolds to a larger SLP Y pipe back down to the stock pipe to the stock cat, then I have a tiny bit more stock pipe from the cat that hooks up to the SLP Loudmouth since i never purchased the "install" kit for the Loudmouth from SLP because I belived it was rediculous to pay 75 dollars for a small foot long pipe and some hangers.


My question is: If i replaced the pipe from the Y Pipe all the way back to the Loudmouth with 3 in. stainless with a high flow cat would i pick up any power, and if so how much would you estimate?

 

maybe 2-4 hp...probably mostly due to the cat...not the pipe

 

The cheapest way is to install a cut-out. Too loud for the street but works great for the track.
