Exhaust question

I have a 94 Z-28 w/ the mods in my Sig., and a few other small ones...I am currently running a cat w/ the shorty headers and I love the sound w/ the borla. There are no plates in it right now, and I didn't get them when I bought the car. However I am probably going to put some pacesetter LT's on it when I change the clutch....if I do this I will also just eliminate the cat when I put the new y-pipe on. My question is how this setup will sound...I don't want it to be raspy...woiuld it be? If so, if i get the plates for the Borla would that help?

Re: Exhaust question

LTs, no cats, and a cutout (basically what an open borla is) will be raspy and loud!

block it off all the way or most of the way and it will probably help. but most mufflers are still a bit raspy on the top end with no cats.
