Hello all. I am writing looking for input on a exhaust problem with my 95 Z28.

The only mod I have is a Borla cat-back. The rest is the stock exhaust system. Recently I do have some ticking when I start it up that is coming from somwhere between the passenger side manifold and cat. converter.

My cat is noticebly hanging lower under my car by easily 3" and when I rev it up with the door open, I can hear a dune buggy exhaust sound and on occasion a backfire upon restarting from that same area.

Sounds like it, but crawl up under there and see if something is loose. An exhaust shop also has a tool that can detect exhaust leaks.
