exhaust cut out question?

exhaust cut out question?

does running the car hard with exhaust cut out open hurt the valves,rockers,and rods due to lack of back pressure. ive been told it would, but i wanted some forsure answers.

From what I'm aware of the only thing that would burn your exaust valves is the lack of material to dissapate the heat from combustion. With a cut-out, it is a decent distance from the heads so there is plenty of exhaust there to get rid of such heat. You should be fine.

I have ben running a exhuast open almost 24/7 for about 4 months, no problems yet!!

Nice to see people searching! Engine damage due to lack of back pressure is a myth! The whole point to a free flowing exhaust is to eliminate back pressure.
