?????exhaust?????

I live in a state with no emissions testing at all and i'm thinking of putting a full exhaust on my 99 B4C from header to tip. should i even have to worry about getting headers with 02 fittings? what about the exhaust? i know people do it without 02 sencors i just wanted to know if it helps with power and how they did it. also any advice on headers? i'm thinking about a set of jet hots not sure though. any advice would be appreciated.

Re: ?????exhaust?????

Yes, you need O2 fittings for your headers, but you don't have to get AIR and EGR fittings. The PCM uses the readings from the sensors to meter the fuel, without them your car will run like crap and get bad gas mileage. You just need to keep the O2 sensors in the collectors (upstream) not the ones after the cats. Those are just used to make sure your CATS are working properly, with a tune or sims you can turn those off. Brand wise you can get any long tube header and you should be ok. Jet-Hot, Pacesetter, Hooker, Kook's, etc. just depends on your budget. There are also some nice mid-length headers as well, Bassani, MAC, etc. you might look in to.

Oh well, everyone's gotta start somewhere. I don't know much about LSx motors but I'm sure if you search the LSx forums you will find lots of opinions about what is good and bad for those motors. Good Luck
