exhaust

my 99 formula is all stock. and im completely happy with that (for now). the only thing i want to change now is the exhaust. its too quiet. right now i cant afford headers or a cat back or anything like that. but a cut out is relatively cheap...so ive been considering that option as something until i get a new set up. i want to know a few things about it. since everything is stock, will it sound good with a cutout? will it help preformance? or hurt it? will i notice a change? i will only need to buy one cutout, correct? i havent had the car for long, but i thought there was 2 exhaust pipes under there. i might be wrong, but i thought there was 2 right next to each other. any info is appreciated.

Re: exhaust

Your exhaust starts off thre headers with two pipes obviously then goes into a y-pipe then to a single pipe to the back then through your muffler. So you will only need one cut-out. ALso they say you pick up some power. I personally don't like the way they sound but a lot of people do. JMHO

Re: exhaust

Some people like em.........some don't.

You won't see any seat of the pants power increases.

You can mount it before the rear axle on the straight piece of pipe or after the axle just before it goes into the muffler.
