Evaporator...please help
I dug around for a while and found very little info on replacing the evaporator in a 1997 Camaro Z28. I found a post somewhere which walks you through removing the dashboard and ripping apart half your car just to change it but it seemed to me that removing the dash might not be the way to go, even though the Camaro was not designed with easy of maintenance in mind. So I took a trip to Strauss auto and got the guy to tell me the computer estimate for the job and it is only 2.8 hours...which points towards another way to replace the evaporator. So I'm guessing that the way to do it is to unbolt the housing through the engine bay and pull it out...has anyone done that? Any information would be greatly appreciated...as it is getting hot outside really fast.
