Electric hatch release

This may be a wierd question, and im not sure if anyone else has experienced this...but...im having a problem with my hatch release. WHen i press it once, or use the keyless, the hatch wont open all the way, i usually have to press it 2 or 3 times. has this happened to anyone? Anyone know if you can just adjust something and fix this?

Yep I've had it both on my old 00' WS6 and my 02' Hawk. There's a simple fix called the Hatch Release mod. You can find all the info you need here for 99' and up - Hatch Release Mod 1 or - Hatch Release Mod 2. I recommend the first one. Only take less than 10 minutes to do. Hope that help solve you're problem.

Yup ... mod method number one works every time. This is a problem on just about every Trans Am due to the extra weight of the wing. Other F-Bods ... it's luck of the draw.

I did the spring piggyback and never had another problem. Not bad for a $1.00 fix.

What are your 60' times? I was stuck at 13.1 for a LONG time. Then I installed a set of boxed Lower Control Arms with poly bushings and dropped my 60' times from 2.2 down to 1.9 (on stock tires, Kuhmo 712). The LCA's allowed my to bump my launch RPM up from 1800 to 3,000.

As for shifts, I powershift at 6,000
