Electric trunk release has weird buzz and doesn't open trunk.

 

Moved to the General Tech section. When we say "electronics", we're talking about the stereo and stuff like that, not electromechanical stuff like the trunk release.

You should have better luck getting an answer here. I suspect that you just need to replace the actuator, but maybe someone here will have experience or details to be more helpful.
