Ebay Window motors

Has anyone bought, used, or heard anything about these window motors being sold on ebay? They are pretty reasonable for a new motor and I need one. I just hope it works good and lasts. ebay-Window motor

Re: Ebay Window motors

I bought a new one off ebay from a guy that was selling them through his dealership. I think Napa offers a life time warranty on their window motors.

Re: Ebay Window motors

Is the one from murray's any good? I have bought bad parts from them and if it is rebuilt rather than new I don't want it. Where else is a place to buy a good motor? I want one that will last and work strong, but not have to pay the dealership price.

Re: Ebay Window motors

I just bought this window motor and am awaiting delivery ($39.95):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33706

Read the details:

This new aftermarket power window motor is made by an original equipment supplier. It is far superior to the less expensive overseas motors which have begun to appear on Ebay. We guarantee this motor to fit and function properly and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

We also are offering overseas manufacturers aftermarket motors on Ebay as an alternative to the high quality power window motor that is in this auction. If you are just looking for a quick fix to get your window up and down for the short term and are not looking for long term performance, then that is the part for you. It can be found in our other auctions. The overseas aftermarket motors do come with a warranty. If, however you would like the higher quality, original equipment style power window motor, this is the auction for you!
Here is the cheaper version that they offer ($19.95):

I would be careful about your link because that one shows a 9-toothed motor instead of the supposedly more powerful 12-toothed motor. But I don't know...this is just what I have learned in the past week. I hope this helps a little

The cars come with 9 tooth motors, I don't know if a 12 tooth one will even fit.

Re: Ebay Window motors

I would buy a new one from a local parts store. The price is the same as their and there isn't any shipping. Also when buying local if there is an issue you can resolve it quickly.

ok, I am from michigan, the only local place I know right now to get a new motor is the dealer and that will be around $80 or something. Does autozone carry these for our cars, a good brand one?

Ahem... It appears that you are correct. It actually does fit, but operation is anything but smooth. Looks like I'm going to have to return it and wait for the CORRECT one to be shipped.

Yup, they're ~$40 and have a lifetime warranty.

Also, Once you do the install once on the car, any time after that is cake....
Just use Shoebox's write up, and you'll be good to go.
