YES!!!....
I finally got an appt for my SLP LT header, catted y-pipe install..$350-Flat rate....I've had other quotes for $70/hr. min of 5 hours I would think..

!!AND!!

He offered me a dyno tuning for about 20% off of $550....($400)

Are these good priceS? What is the difference in a dyno tune over the HPP, handheld, LS1 Edit tune? (I do not have.....I think....bought the car used) What kind of gains can I expect from the tune...I allways thought that a "tune" in an otherwise stock car (no internals, gears, NO2) would be worthless...........??

East Side Performance Their page is still being updated so, be patient.....

Any advice would help.........Thanx in advance.....

You can get a tune when you are stock, but it won't help a whole alot. The hhp3 is crap, do a search and read up, alot of people complain about them. Take the money and put towards the tune. Tune would probably net you around 20 rwhp.

Once you start doing bolt on mods, when you hit a certain point, it will be time for a tune. As in my case, that is the next step for me, see sig for mods.

Becareful with the SLP lT's, as I hear they have clearance issues.

Yeah, I'm aware of the issues. There are a couple ppl out there that are happy w/ them, though...As long as you pay attn to where you are driving and don't take speed bumps like an idiot...I plan on getting the SS 17" ten spoke wheels and a 1" drop...from the stock 16 inch wheels I have now it will only lower me 1/2".. Give & take sidewall differences...

Dont waste your money on a tune until you get some other mods, like a cam.

as long as you are using the tune for more than just a/f changes you should be all set.
cause it's kindda a waste of money for just basic boltons.

but if he also changes fan settings, shift points, firmness, TM, things like that...it would benefit alot more.

still i would almost wait till after bigger mods.

a simple $250 mailorder tune from www.madz28.com would work fine for just headers.

"I plan on getting the SS 17" ten spoke wheels and a 1" drop...from the stock 16 inch wheels I have now it will only lower me 1/2".. Give & take sidewall differences"

you do realize that if you buy a tire with a different sidewall it will throw off your speedo...and possibly look terrible.
the standard 16" tire is 245/50 which has a diameter of 25.7", and the standard 17" tire is 275/40 which also has a diameter of 25.7". so if you use these tires, the 1" drop will be just that...1"

Well, I will get a matching tire w/ it. Prob the SS 10 spoke from SLP, W/ BFG KDW's.........................Ah! It just dawned on me...I was thinking of the diameter of the tire and dividing it in half....DUH, I don't know why......Anyway, yeah you're right....it's still a 1" drop...and yes I am aware of the speedometer changes....it reads off the trans output and the distance moved by one rotation of the axle has changed....
