Driver's Side Window Track???

I wasn't planning on typing this out but I can't post attachments for some reason. Here goes.

On a '95 Camaro('93-'02 I'm assuming), when the window rolls up and down it is guided by a black track or guide that is attached to the side view mirror. I don't know what this part is called or what the part number is so if you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Damn I wish I could attach the pic but oh well. Hopefully I've described the part clearly. Thanks,
FLeX

Either that or please tell me how I can repair it once it is ripped. With the way it is now, wind noise is as annoying as a loud exhaust on the highway. The wind pushes the top of the window ******d so much that I can stick my fingers between the window and pillar and feel the wind outside the car. Please help me.

This would be better in the General Tech forum. I'll move it there for ya.

Re: Driver's Side Window Track???

Hmm, I guess I am one of the few and very far between that this problem has cursed. I really want to get this fixed but my local Chevy dealer didn't even know what the part is called or have a part number. If it is possible to fix, someone please let me know. I looked at a couple wrecked Camaros at the junk yard but their "window tracks" or guides or whatever they are called are in worse condition than mine. Here is the clearest pic I could find of the part i'm talking about. It is connected to the side view mirror and when the window rolls up and down, it is guided by this part. That's the best way I can think of to describe it.

It is the second picture on the first page with the passenger side door opened.

Thank you for any help.

Re: Driver's Side Window Track???

Are parts 4 and 11 in this picture the parts you're looking for?

As you can see drivers side (left hand) is 10294285, and (not shown) the passenger side (right hand) is 10294284.
Looks like you'll pay about $80 for both.

Thank you very much. That seemed easy for you. I wonder why my Chevy dealer couldn't tell me what the part was? Oh well, at least I've got it now. Thanks,

Re: Driver's Side Window Track???

I don't think this part alone is causing this major of a problem. You may want to pull the inside door panel and check the interior regulator and tracks.

Re: Driver's Side Window Track???

Oh yes, I know. One time when it was freezing outside I tried to open the door and it was frozen shut. So, like an idiot, I pulled real f***** hard and the door came loose. I glued it back together and it worked for awhile but then the part I need ripped. Before I could fix it I t-boned an F-150 and wouldn't you know, the door busted loose again. So not only do I need the part I mentioned earlier, I really need another door too because the one I've got is pretty screwed.
