Driver Side Window Motor Regulator.
Driver Side Window Motor Regulator.
Seems like my driver side regulator/motor is more trouble than an Opti. My regulator was starting to bind up and bend, causing the motor to get hot and die. I rolled it up for the last time and I then....disaster. The window fell abot 3". I took the door panel off to examine the damage. It looks like the rivets came loose and let the window fall. But now, the holes in the door for the motor and regulator have turned into 2" slots, I think that's why the window fell.
Has anyone else had this happen? I think I'm in deep trouble this time. The fiberglass section is in bad shape. I'm taking it to the shop when I get the regulator/motor. Anyone think this will be a challenge to fix?

Re: Driver Side Window Motor Regulator.
Fiberglass is easy to work with. If you need to, you could always just patch over the slots and then drill new holes. You'll need to buy a section of fiberglass mat and some resin.
