Drag VS. Street/Drag

Hey Fbods. Ill get right to the point. I have a 94 LT1 under construction right now. IM buidling a 385 stroker for it and I can't wait to complete it. But my challenge falls within that. My Challenge is to make my Camaro a PURE DRAG CAR vs. a Street/Drag Car. I go back and forward in conteplating the idea. Everytime I see an F-bod on the street I start to cry cause I want mine back SOOOOOO BADDDD. So if any of you have ever gone through this phase, please reply to this post and help me with my decision.
Thanks
Chris

I'd say that a car you can enjoy every day would be better than one you can only enjoy a few seconds at a time.

I've seen some pretty fast street camaros. Just remember as HP and TQ goes up MPG goes down as well as streetability.

MPG! Gee, I wish. I burn about 1-1/2 gallons of alcohol on a 1/4 mile pass which ends up being a 2 mile round trip back to the pits. I probably burn most of the fuel in the first 1/4 mile.

I enjoy my few seconds of use every time.

Depends on your budget and what you want to do with the car. If you make a pure drag car, parts will be more expensive and break more often. That along with your car will most likely become a trailor queen that you cannot enjoy on the streets.

Yeah it would become a trailer queen. As far as the first comment. { shock6906 I'd say that a car you can enjoy every day would be better than one you can only enjoy a few seconds at a time. } Damn that is so true. I prolly will miss my car in waiting on down time for in between races. I wish I can buy in LS1 right now and call it good to satisfy my needs. Guys thanks a hole lot for your information it is very helpful. If anyone else has views please reply.

Chris,
I have to give you a hard time about this........

Get that SOB back on the street. Trailer queens SUCK !!!! Plus nothing beats the look on the kid in the ricer when 2nd gear hits at 25mph...
Put in the cam from the 355 and throw a T350 under it an get it back on the road.

Todd
