DR Highway Compatibility

Normally I have a friend drive 60 miles (75 mph limit) on the highway to the track with me and change my DRs at the track, but he just bought a Saleen and is going down with me tonight. I heard that DRs blister and prolonged highway speeds. Is this true? Or should I be okay driving down on my DRs?

I've driven on DR's at over 100mph for long periods of time. Hit 150+ several times... I'm still alive. Not the smartest thing to do. But thats the first time I have ever heard of any blistering problem.

Sounds good. I'll change them before I leave.

What kind of DR's?? I've made several highway trips on my Nitto DR's and they held up fine.

You should be ok as they're the most street friendly of the DR choices out there.

Thanks guys, makes me feel a lot better. I can't remember where I heard that, I think it was the guy I bought the tires from. Now I know better.
