Dorman Window Motor Install
Since it IS a part offered by Autozone (for our cars)...I would assume there is a way to make it work.
There are reasons I am installing this brand in my brother's car, so please no "get a Siemens with life warranty" or "go with AC" etc... replies.

Rule #1: Buy parts that fit!
Rule #2: If you buy parts that don't fit, your going to have to mod them. If your not smart enough to make them work. See Rule #1.

I don't understand why I am receiving such ignorant responses that are far from constructive or helpful in any way. This motor is going in my brother's car, it was not bought - but given to me for free some time ago, and I realized that it is the same part AZone gives out as an option for F-bodys (so I hung on to it); so I know somebody somewhere has attempted to install (and successfully done so) this motor by Dorman. The information I was looking for is if there is anything I should look out for when I do this, which is today now. It's pretty clear to me that it's not a straight replacement based on the one post I found before - so I do not need posts telling me to buy the parts that fit when I haven't bought anything.

Well thanks for the replies that pissed me off - gave me the motivation I needed to modify everything and make the Dorman window motor install a success.

I just replaced my drivers side motor with a dorman. It has all the correct holes you need. The extra stuff that comes with it is for another application. It's a direct replacement like the siemans one.
the dorman seems significantly weaker than the siemans though. I have the siemans one on the passenger side window. I'm going to swap the dorman when i find an autozone with a siemans.
