does my MPH mean I could run these times?

ok I have really bad traction issues with my car (always have) but I was at the track a while back and I ran a best of 8.7 at 83 MPH and there was another guy there that pulled an 8.28 at the same MPH!!! my 60s for that time are in the 2.1-2.2 range. does this mean if I could get my car to hook I could run times like that??

Most likely, but not definately. MPH is usually a very good indicator of HP, but there can still be some variances.
