Does heavy-duty headlight harness= brighter lights?

I'm using Luks hi wattage 80/100 bulbs in my lows/ highs and there not melting or anything but the highs are a little dim/yellowish and I was wondering if this was an implication that they weren't giving enough power and if an upgrade harness would make any difference.

Jumper some juice directly from the battery and see. If it helps, rig up a relay system to provide direct power to the lights.

OK, I'll try that. If it helps, I'll ask how to set up a relay system.

The heavyduty wires allow you to run the brighter bulbs without melting your light switch system.

So if it doesn't melt with the standard wiring, I'm OK?

Try cleaning your headlight grounds also. If you don't have good groud you won't have bright lights.

not neccesarily, the stand alone harness allows for brighter lights by eliminating the voltage drop through the headlight switch and wiring, by using relays and heavier wiring, along with moch shorter runs of wire

Ask this guy...I think he even has a schematic and suggestions for a theoretical harness design linked on his main page...
