Does anyone have a 97-02 non TCS/ASR Camaro?

I am trying to figure what difference is compared to the dash plate of a car with TCS/ASR...

It looks like there is some kind of fake switch in this photo... but I am having a hard time finding this part and am not sure if it exists...

 

This is what my car looks like and I am trying to get rid of the switch...

 

Just get nitrous or something and have that be your arm/disarm switch.

You'll need to find a '98+ V6 to get the dead button -- all Z28's and SS's had ASR. Maybe you should ask in the V6 boards?

 

My car doesn't have TCS and has the "blank" next to the fog light switch - it just pops in from the rear. If you remove/unplug your switch and have TCS how will you turn it off/on? Might throw a light too?

 

I have taken care of the light problem... but need to get that blank switch... there are none up in Canada

 

You should be able to get one through a dealer, probably have to order it though - I'd give you the PN but I drilled a hole through mine and installed my fan switch there.

 

Dealer shoudl have them, they are thousands of them on v6s... I rearranged my Camaro emblem, but same thing... They jsut snap in, my car has the harness for ASR though, just chilling behind there.

There are also v6s with no foglamps as well...

 

My 97 SS conv. does NOT have TCS and the dash looks exactly like the pict. in the ad.

Have you tried looking at a wrecking yard?

Mine's got the "dead button" (no TC) but I've always thought about getting another fog light switch one day and using it for something like maybe an electric cut-out or something. If I ever did that, you could have my dead button! ..... but that'll probably be too far down the road for you?

I thought all LS1 cars had ASR.

 

That looks nicer than the way GM arranged it!

I might do that with my car now that I've seen how cool it looks.
