I was in the process of instaling the TSP X system on my car when i noticed i have to remove this piece. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...8/IM002722.jpg It hangs under where the driveshaft meets the tail end of the transmission. Does this play an important part in the suspension or anything else? I just want to make sure.

Its a chassis brace, but because of its flimsy design, I cannot see it doing wonders in the strength department. I took mine off and drove the car for several months without any adverse affects until I finally installed the crossmember mounted torque arm that bolted there instead.

 

Mine's been off the car for 6 years.
