dilemma

Well im in a bit of dilemma here. Right now i drive a 98 camaro v6. I have been in the market for a LT1 or LS1 after just owning my car for about a year and now i have a dilemma. As of now i am looking at 2 cars 1 is a 97 trans am A4 just turned 90k(Metallic Green) and the other 99 Z28 M6(Silver) 83k Both cars are great. The Trans am is fully loaded t-tops, leather etc..., and also has the following sound system, new rebuilt tranny w/ a stall (what the owner said), the top end of the motor is rebuilt w/ new rockers, etc..., new started, flowmaster exhaust, K&N CAI. The Camaro is not as loaded as the T/A but does have t-tops which is what really matters and also a 6spd. The camaro is basically stock except for a MTI clear lid w/ K&N and exhaust. So fellas please help me out i really dont know what to choose. BTW i have test drove them both and they both run very stong.

Other info
Camaro asking price is $9995 (dealer)
T/A asking price is $8800 (private seller that has to sell)

Re: dilemma

I have an Lt-1 with cam, headers, exhaust, tuning, 3.73, forged internals, 1.6 rockers, TNT nitrous systems, CAI, and some other stuff I'm probably forgetting and If someone offered to trade an LS-1 that was bone stock and in good condition I'd do it in a heart beat, Just not real impressed with it, I know it still needs either LE or LT4 heads and a converter to really take full advantage of the cam and such, but I was dissapointed with 13.50's NA and 12.30's on the 100 shot.

Re: dilemma

the LS1 all the way...

you'll love the 6spd, and the engine has more latent potential than the LT1

with the addition of basic boltons and a mail order tune you can be 330-340hp at the wheels. that is what alot of h/c LT1s make.

not to mention you get better brakes, and for me i don't like leather.
