Differences between WS6 and Firehawk?

I used to own a 99 WS6 and was wondering the difference between the 2 cars.
I know the cosmetic diffs of the badging and hood and floor mats, build numbers, etc.
Anything else mechanical or internals that were different between the 2?

Firehawks got the 335 hp package, which was basically a SLP dual/dual catback; then in `02 you could get the 345 hp package, added a lid to the catback.

With the Firehawk you could get SLP options, such as the Bilstein (sp?) suspension, 1LE, aulburn diff, BFG tires, etc.

ASC didn't offer these options for the WS6.

The difference besides cosmetics, options. Performance wise the 2 cars would be pretty much neck and neck...hawk might have a slight edge due to suspension and the lid/catback.

Thats basically what I thought and responded to a question I was asked at a stoplight. I was asked if my WS6 was a Hawk and I just told him they were essentially the same thing. I look at it as being one as more flamboyant than the other and a choice of what hood and rims u like better.
Personally I like the WS6 hood better with the snarling look of the big nostrils and the nice chrome rims but like the rarity and collectabialty and badging of the Hawks. Either way, I was spoiled with my last one and cannot own anything less than a WS6 or Hawk with the LS1 and the M6 when I buy another soon.

Thanks for confirming my suspisions guys

The Hawks are considered more of a collector car since they are individually numbered. The loan values are insane on these- I could have borrowed 22K for my '95 and it had over 100,000 miles on it! I think the early Formula Hawks look a little more muscular, but when it comes to the 98+ I think the WS-6 has it hands down, just looks mean as hell.
