Difference Between O2 Sensors, front and rear?
I recently did a LT install and at the time I did not realize the front O2's were different from the rears. I've heard that mixing them up can cause a bank of cylinders to run dangerously lean. Is there a visual difference between the front and rear O2 senors? .. If there is I can check by unscrewing my rears (which are just plugging the rear holes in the Ypipe and not connected bcause I'm using O2 sims).
Thanks for the help,
Sean

I got the impression an O2 sensor is an O2 sensor with the only thing being different is the length of the lead. After headers I used the rears in the front because of the longer leads and the car runs rich if anything.

If anyone else does think otherwise .. please post.

the only difference is the length of the leads.....after my headers, i swapped a rear into the front because the front was shot and the rear was just plugging up the hole in the y-pipe (i have O2 simms naturally)...anyway, it ran fine....
EDIT: the only possible difference is some O2 sensors are heated (the 4 wire kind) and some aren't (the 3 wire kind) but all 4 LS1 O2s are 4 wire...
