Does anyone have any idea why the dash lights in my friends 94 camaro would come on when you hit the brakes? The headlights are off but when you hit the brakes the back light in the gauges comes on. Any ideas? Thanks

I am not sure, but you should see if you have a bad ground somewhere.

 

mine just started to do the same thing i am thinking of changing the breake switch to see if it does anything does anyone else know what this could be.

 

I found the problem. My friend put the wrong tail light bulb in it. I belive it needed an 1157 and he out an 1156 in there. the one that is needs has 2 nubs on the bottom and the one that was in it only had one. Wierd as hell, but that is what caused it.

Yeah it couldnt hurt. I just lucked into finding the other bulb still in the package in his glove box. I was going to change that bulb that he put in because it was dim, I pulled it out of the box and see it was the wrong one and the lights and buzzer went off in my head :P
