Custom Ramps?
Hey Guys,
Well for my next endeavor I was thinking about building a custom ramp to get my car up quicker and easier. I think a ramp like that would decrease the barrier to entry that I so often run into when working on my car. Having a lowered car and being in college without a "permanent" garage makes it difficult.

That is the site I think I am going to use as a guide for what I want to do, though I would like to get it higher than their advertised 8". The only other problem I have with it is that seeing as how only the front end will be lifted...when I change my oil I will have to roll the car down or something to make sure all the old oil gets out??
Any suggestions or feedback on the project or similar projects?

Re: Custom Ramps?
I thought of doing something like that, but also haveing an elevated section the length of the car, so the whole car could be leveled and lifted something like 1 foot off the ground. Then haveing the detachable ramps at the rear so you could easily drive up onto it. This would make alot of projects more garage or driveway friendly. It would be alot easier, faster and it would cause less stress on the frame compared to jacking it up all the time. Looks like it would be easy enough and cheap enough to make too. And until i have enough money for a good lift, it looks like the only option.

Sears 10" ramps with add-on 2x10 wood ramp to clear nose of lowered car. Ramps will fit 275 with no problems (my 315's hang over the edge if I back the car up on them):
