Custom exhaust question

Hey guys, just a question on a true dual setup. I was wondering which place would be best to put mufflers in an over-the-axle setup to get the least amount of interior drone. I'd be using bullets or chambered mufflers, so one per pipe. Should I put them in under the car in the i-pipes or have them in the stock muffler location? thanks for any imput

Re: Custom exhaust question

I think sound also has to be considered. The farther back the muffler is, the quieter it will be. If you want louder, i would suppose not so far back, quieter put them in the back.

hmm i wasnt thinking about that, thanks for the imput. id think putting it in the back would cause a deeper, quieter sound.

Re: Custom exhaust question

If you're going over the axle & out the back it won't matter where the muffler is. Drone comes from where the exit is, not muffler location

Re: Custom exhaust question

What Strahley said. Over the right side of the rear axle is best. It has to be 2.5 inch tubes or it doesnt work well clearence wise. Hate to say it but 2.25 is actually better over the axle. Use chambered mufflers from http://www.sweet-thunder.com You wont be dissapointed. Mike can make you whatever you need.
