Question Cruise Control/Turn Signal/Wiper Arm Replacement

Within the last 6 months my cruise control on my 1994 V6 Camaro has been acting up, and it's with the slider switch on the turn signal arm that turns the cruise OFF/ON/RES-ACC. The SET button works fine. I can set the cruise, but when I want to Resume or Accelerate after braking and going around a slow car, the cruise shuts off. It's when I slide the button to Resume that it just shuts off. I've played with it and if you hit the button just right and very quickly it will Resume, but only probably 5% of the time. So something is just not right with that slider button on the turn signal arm. You can feel it get hung on something in there.

What I am wondering is how difficult is it to replace just the turn signal arm with all the buttons? I am hoping this does not require anything to be taken apart on the steering column; I really cannot tackle that on my own.

If it's just a simple twist on or twist off or a few steps just let me know. I take a lot of 2 hour trips on the interstate and it's annoying to not have the Resume/Accelerate work.

Also does anyone know the GM part number for the arm and how much $$ it would run me? Thanks for the help in advance on how to replace this...

Remove the tilt lever (it screws out-actually, you might not need to remove it). Slide the access cover back that hides the wiring connector, uplug the wires and just pull the lever straight out. Install in reverse, lining up the tang on the lever to the notch in the column. Be sure that the wiper control is in the off position before installing the lever.

GM PART # 25140743 as listed on my part numbers page. Auto parts stores also sell the levers.
