Crash car now electronics dont work?

I got into a 10-15 mph accident, my front end got a little smashed in not bad actually was able to pop the bumber dent right out, but the thing is my airbags came out, broke my dash into a zillion pieces and came up and broke the windshield into a spider web. I only had liability and they found me at fault so i dont have the cash to get the car fixed completely, so the airbags were cut out. Since the crash my stereo and interior lights have not been working. Its not a fuse issue, I was wondering after the airbags go off does something activate that disables all these electronics, so you have to get the airbags put back in? Any idea how to fix this? Any help would be appreicated.

hmm.....

If you were closer I'd sell you a dash w/both bags and module cheap.

darn distance

and no, there is nothing to stop all that from working after an accident, check all the fuses, and the fusable links near the battery

Re: Crash car now electronics dont work?

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be my stereo system, all interior lights, and i think even the horn has stopped working. Any ideas on what to check that could cause all the lights/stereo system in my car to not work. I wan't to sell the car but I want to fix the system atleast first. Please help any ideas/tests will be appreciated. The deck won't even power up.

Selling the car with air-bags might get you in trouble down the road man...
I got in an accident similar to yours, and just put on a new dashboard and steering wheel without air bags. Everything works fine, just the light stays on.

Re: Crash car now electronics dont work?

it has no air bags, i'm just selling it straight up. broken dash, windshield, and the front in just minor dent. It's pretty sad the accident was like 10mph and barely any damage yet the airbags caused the most...they smashed my dashboard into 500 pieces and broke the windshield also. What do I check about the fuse links....how can I test?
