cooling fans not working

cooling fans not working

hey guys my cooling fans dont come on when the temp is at 230 but they work when i turn on the a/c. i have a 94 camaro lt1 a4. is it the sensor in the front of the water pump that controls the fans?? any help would be appreciated

Are there two different sensors fo the fan switch and the coolant temp sensor??

No. The fan is triggered by the PCM. The PCM gets its reading from the sensor in the water pump.


There is a second sensor, located in the left cylinder head. This second sensor is for the temperature gauge in the dash.
