coolant light on

well guys, i was driving and my low coolant light came on.
Immediately pulled over and checked the coolant level, it was fine

What would cause the light to come on since the coolant is not low?
Is tehre a way that i can reset the light to see if it stays off?

The sensors go bad all the time. You can take it out and try and clean it up, replace it, or just unplug it and the light will stay off. Sensor is in the radiator so remove the radiator cap and check the level with the car cool.

Did you pull the radiator cap on a hot engine??? Or just look at the overflow??? If you looked at the overflow you need to check the radiator level AFTER the engine cools.

The low coolant sensor is located about 6 inches down on the RH end tank.

I checked the "coolant tank" on the passenger side of the motor while it was warm. I have not pulled the radiator cap yet, because since it was warm i did not want it going all over

Take the battery out, and you can get right to it.
