converting my 94 interior to the 97-02. Is it at all possible?

Hi,
I'm in the process of converting my 1994 Camaro to the newer body style of the 98-2002. I really need to know if converting the interior is possible. Such as replacing my dash, instrument cluster, console, etc. with the ones present in the 97-02. If anyone has info, or has done this already, please help me out. I have been looking all over the web for advice on this matter.
Thanks

I don't see why it can't be done. I've heard of people swapping the 93-97 front clip for a 98-02 and also heard of them doing the same for the rear bumper and such. I don't have personal experience so I couldn't help you much but I'm sure there are some people on this forum that have done it.

You might want to try looking in the "appearance" part of this forum, you will probably get more information from there.

Good Luck!

I bought a 97 for parts but ended up turing my 95 z into a 97 z. The seats, plastics, center counsel, drivetrain all fit. The dash can be swapped but requires swapping the plug for you instrument cluster as well as lengthening some wires (still in the process of this one)... Only thing that I havent tried swapping yet is the rear axle If you need diagrams for the dash swap i can find them for you, (recieved lots of help in this area from people on the forum)

I did a conversion on mine too, but mine is from a 2000 Trans Am. It fit in just fine but Im having trouble with my gauges they dont seem to work. I wired everything like it was told in that guys page but still. I was told that I needed some 97 gauges is this true?

I was told that I could only use 97 gauges. I think this is partially due to the fact that the 97 still had the lt1 and when they switched to the ls1 they also changed the imput signals to the gauges. I'm a mechanical engineering student, but have some electrical engineering friends. Might be able to come up with a conversion circuit if i know the imput signals from the ls1 and lt1...
