convertable guru's
i asked specific questions about this before with no answers... so for now can people tell me everything they know about the convertable top pump system? like how to fill it up with more fluid, what fluid to use? but most importantly i need to know what i can take off to get to the shocks(besides the top hopfully) cause i think that is where my leak is but im not sure...
any information about this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for anything.

Re: convertable guru's
It's been a while, but the shocks are accessed from the inside of the car. Lean the rear seat-back forward. Up by the mechanism that holds the seat back on each side, are some cutouts in the carpet that can be pulled aside to get to the top of the shocks. If the shocks have never been removed, you may have to cut open these cutouts a bit (they're about 3" square).

well ever since i have been trying to fix the top i just took out the rear seats... but i dont quite know where your talking about.
when i take off the plastic i can see the shock but only have the speaker opening and maybe a few small others to try to access it..., could you show me a picture of the square to cut off
EDIT: and when i say shock i really mean the hydraulic for the convertable top just so you know...
Thanks much

Re: convertable guru's
I have... use hydraulic steering pump fluid. I went through the same troubles as you figuring it all out.
FIlling it up i've never found the exact procedure, I might pull out my manual today and read it and figure out how. The way i did it was just fill it up and open and close it a few times, and repeat a few more times. Then left a bit of air in the pump area as I noticed it seems to pressurize in there and spill out a bit(which doesnt seem right in a hydraulic system which probably means im not doing it right.)
