Is this considered to be a ram air intake?

Is this considered to be a ram air intake?

This is my car, i'm not sure if it is a ram air because it looks like it is because it sits right under where the hole would be on an ss hood http://www.fquick.com/garages/viewga...wimg&id=130298

Can only see the thumbnail now, but it looks like a cai that would work better with a ram air hood, but it's NOT a ram air setup.

Thats just a K&N kit. Not ram air. Its just less restrictive than the stock airbox (which when mated with a SS hood, IS ram air). The stock airbox is designed to handle the input from the hood. This kit would render it about useless.
