I am attempting to fit a Holley Stealth Ram into my LT1. It will fit under the lip but not the "bulge" further back under the cowl. I would guess this is for water collection or is it for directing air into the cabin? I figure I can cut it off and seal it up without problems.

Anyone see any potential problems on a daily driver? I am not cutting above the lip just the "bulge" further under the cowl. P.S. if someone knows what the "bulge" is fill me in lmao.
