Cold Air intake.

I am going to make my own cold air intake out of 3" alluminum tubing is this big enough?

I know this sounds really hokie... But I am an electrician and I was half *** tempted to make me an intake with some EMT conduit.

Anything will work really, just wont be as flashy as others sell.

How much power will a cold air give? i have heard like 20 but what is the real world getting?

i dont think any of them claim 20 i think more like 10 or 12 at the crank.

combine less restriction in the air box, and the cooler air...

most cases you'll see 8-10hp

There's a lot of people on this site who have spent around $30 bucks or less making their own with PVC pipe bought from Home Depot or something. You can basically make it out of anything if you only care of function not the looks. Much cheaper than aftermarket.
