Cold Air ---> Hot Air

When bringing air up through a CAI and through the MAS, won't an alluminum intake elbow heat the cold air back up more so than a stock plastic piece? The alluminum piece will become hotter than the place piece thus warming air inside.

With this combination, do I just defeat the purpose of getting the CAI?

i'd stick with plastic
aluminum keeps the heat in and everything else
why do you think they wrap burgers in it?

My rubber elbows keeps splitting. I'm getting an alloy elbow soon. Wide open throttle is when I really care about cooler air. I don't think air rushing through that elbow will make much difference in that situation.
