cleaning corrosion on opti?

my 95z is having starting issues, i know what the problem is. the distributor jumper wire that connects to the opti, keeps getting green corrosion on it. the build up is so bad it prevents the car from starting. when i clean the wire off, plug it back into the opti the car fires right up. my question is there anything that i can safely use on the opti and the plug to clean it. the wire brush technique works fine to clean the wire, but what about the optispark? is there any kind of grease or spray that i can use? any input will be appreciated.
