My 96' 6 speed console is busted, so I was wandering if I can swap that console out with one from a 98 newer 6 speed?

 

You can but its a lot of work.. do a search and youll see what im talking about.

 

I was under the impression that it was a direct bolt in swap? The only difference is with Camaro's, you have a 3" gap between the end of the console and the dash itself, which you would ahve to either leave or fill with something.

 

Yeah sorry its actually not bad.. I read that as the dash for some reason the first time I posted. The only problem youll face is a large gap between the console and dash.

 

makes for a nice place for more gauges or swithes, or what i'll probably do is put a scanmaster there

 

I have a firebird, so I wont have to worry about it when I get mine done
