Catch Can ?

When installing a catch can on the pcv system where would the best place be to locate the pcv valve.

1. Between the can and the intake?

2. Between the valve cover and the catch can?

I would think #2 as this would keep the pcv valve away from most of the oil. I have however seen the cans installed both ways.

Thanks for any input.

Re: Catch Can ?

I have already purchased the AMW unit and was looking for a location for the PCV Valve after the install.

I have a pick showing it placed between the intake and the catch can and I think that would be the most logical place as it would keep the PCV Valve away from most of the oil vapor.

Anyone else?
