What years had single/dual and did they ever use 4 cat's?

4 Cats were never used.

But 93-95 (I could be wrong) were Single Cats, and 96-97 had two.

As far has LT1's go.

 

What about the LSx years? Someone is saying they have a 2002 SS with 4 cats.

I never heard of any with 4 cats and I can't seem to find anything that says this either.

Can anyone confirm that and if so what year did they switch to 4 cats?

 

never used 4 cats, they may be thinking 4 O2 sensors....

 

Yeah that is what I thought too but then I thought maybe in 2000 or something they made some changes because of what they said.

Only showing a left and a right. I have never heard or seen of more than 2 cats on an Fbody.
Can we get a moderator to confirm this?


I do run a shop, but I dont claim to know everything there is to know about cars.... However, I am very confident on this one.


Only way I can see anything to do with 4 cats, there was the left and right for the LS1, and a federal and california for the 3.8's. But not 4 on a single car.

 

The 96-97 and 98-02 cars saw only 2 cats and the 4 02 sensors as you pointed out.
