carburating 4th gen??

Hello,
I'm a new user at this forum, just signed up to post here.
I in the middle of buying a wrecked -95 Z28 that has no motor or trans, and i have extra 350 and 350tranny in my garage.I'm planning to use this car on drifting circuit(no nissans or toyotas for me) and because airbags are gone and most of the orginal wiring i was planning to put in a 383 that has 750 demon carb.I noticed that engine in these bodies sit way deep.So my question is:What kind of modifications are needed to complete this mod?And what would you recommend?
I don't have the car yet in my garage,so i haven't been able to take any measurements from the car.

Thank you for you answers

You might have some clearance issues with the fire wall and the rear mounted distributer.

It will bolt right in but your biggest problem is going to be the rear mounted distributor. It will have to be low profile with the wires exiting the side of the cap, even then there would be no way to remove the distributor with the engine in the car.

Well,I've been drag racing with my '57 chev about 3years,last year i was mechanic on a friend's street '67 camaro that ran 8.66/163mph on 1/4mile.
So i thought that drifting might have some challenges if you go at the tracks with a Camaro. Here all you can see is 200sx,skylines,180sx,BMW 320 and 325 + few M3's.And one Trans am GTA.
I read that 4th gen camaro has 53/47 weight ratio,4-wheel discbrakes, and i keep hearing that driveability is whole lot better than 3rd gen.My first idea was go drifting with a '76 chevelle but ever tried to slide with behemoth?I tried it with my '89 chevy shortbed truck in the winter and it wasn't easy.
And you have to understand that racing scene ain't so big here in Finland,i mean class D(means street, bigblock's,no bigger than 480cubic is allowed,no bottle,n/a aspirated or boost) had 12 cars running! And that was the biggest street class...get the idea? And on drifting circuit most of the cars are less than 400hp,2 or 3 cars have more than 500hp,and those are 4 or 6cyl motors with huge turbo,so powerband is really, really narrow. And i know i can make 500+hp 383,pump gas engine, and with 4gen i really might have some fun!!!
And unless you have prostock engine, you cant run with the big boys in street class in drag racing.
Sorry I got off topic but now you know where i come from.

Back to topic:
Distributor issue was on my mind when i saw the engine room.I haven't "played" with these modern cars so must(fuel injection, direct ignition).
My plan B was to install aftermarket f.i that has opportunity to use crank position sensor so i dont have to touch distributor after i install it.
What about carb and windshield clearance?I mean if i use single plane intake.

no other problems for the engine.. might have to get a trans mount for the th350 (the whole thing that it sets on and attaches to the body... maybe a driveshaft? Only other thing is the third gen camaros are used an aweful lot in drift competitions as far as fbodies go. You can set them up to be great. And they sure do like to slide the rear out under control.

Most folks don't consider hacking into the firewall desirable or easy. Getting the gauges to work without having to swap them out is a relatively easy problem to sift through by comparison...
