Carb Motor's

Hey I plan on replacing my 305 out of my 87 z28 soon here and would like to know what the Largest Carb. built motor that i can fit in my engine bay that my tranny can take?

Something the 700 will take and will fit in my engine bay, i also plan on adding a posi with 3.73's but stil lwanna keep her boderline street on a budget

well it depends on the state of your tranny and if you want to strenghten it also. If you dont want to spend to any money on it or if it hasn't been rebuilt yet then I would just buy one of the 260hp GM crate 350's. Throwing too much at it will result in failure because of the age and mileage.

OH no i failed to mention that i'm fixen to have the 700 rebuilt pretty soon here completly rebuilt race ready with a transgo kit.

Sky's the limit then. I'd go with a ZZ4 355 clone, I would stay away from too many cubes because your 26 spline 10 bolt wont handle too much, aim for a higher revving 355 than a torque monster 383-406.

sweet guys ya'll really helped my pick out a winner, my fckin for buddy whom drives a supercoupe thinks i should have gone with a 383 or a HT 350, he pissin me off right now. i also wonder how much can hp/torque can the 700's take and what size motors fit it?
