I hope it's not the optispark but it just might be. Car has been having hesitation, and slight loss of power for about 2 weeks straight. Unfortunately today the car finally died as I was driving it. When I attempted to fire it back up, it either stuttered to death again, or it would just turn back off. I attempted to keep the car running by continuously pressing the gas pedal, but the car would stay on sputtering and stuttering, prolonging its path right back to turning off.

The car won't stay on, but when I turn the key to start it, at times it sounds like it fires back up just fine. Sometimes it cranks a few times, but still feels like it should start even though it doesn't.

Any ideas out there of what it could be. I'm going to check spark wires and plugs. I'm just hoping it's not the distributor.
