Car idle's really low when I turn the AC on

Would this be a programming issue or do I just need to open up my TB blades some more with the throttle stop screw?
It idles perfect when the AC is off (800-850rpms) around 1k shows on the tach.

When the AC is turned ON the idle drops to 600 or so and stays there everytime I stop the car.

Thanks

Cody

usually in FI cars there is a ac sensor that tells the ECM to idle up for the extra load

Exactly... the PCM knows when the A/C is running, and opens the IAC valve more to hold the idle at spec. It should not slow down when the A/C is on. Since you appear to have a scanner that allows you ro read the RPM from the PCM, use it to watch what happens to the IAC counts when you turn the A/C on. If the counts increase, but the idle does not, you know there's a problem with the IAC valve.
