Car Has Been Sitting/SES Light

my car has been sitting for 6 months now and i just brought it home today about an hour ago...now its throwing an SES light and its code P0300...random/multiple misfires detected...could this be from letting it sit so long and having old gas running through it??? or is that out of the question and it means something more serious?

Either scenario or something beyond that is possible.

This is where good diagnostic skills kick in. It won't happen over the internet.

It might be possible that some bad gas gummed up the injectors a little bit. Probably wouldn't hurt to do a full tuneup on the car, fresh plugs, fresh wires, new fuel filter, injector flush and a fresh tank of gas and tank it for a spin.
