Car almost left me stranded today - question inside....
This was the 2nd time this has happened to me, luckily the first time was in the garage.
Last time, I got in the car and went to start it and there was nothing - like the battery was unhooked completely. I hooked up the charger, put it on engine start, and if fired right up.
This time, the girlfriend and I just left Olive Garden and stopped to get gas just down the road. I got out, left the keys in the car (top was down & pay @ the pump). After I was done pumping gas, I got back in and nothing...... Luckily there was a guy there that had a set of cables to jump me, but it still did the samething - nothing, no dings, no buzzers, no lights. Ended up disconnecting the negative cable on the battery and waited for 20 seconds or so, hooked it back up and the car started fine.
Then, later on I went out for a drive (just finished up the header/gmmg install today) and at one point the car died for a split second. It bucked once, lights flickered, and my radar detector turned off/on. After that, it was fine
Any ideas on what it could be?

fixed it!!!
well, car did it to me again today, only worse this time. Went over to a buddies house to take him for a ride, pulled out and stomped on it. Got to about 3k and it died completely.
Ended up being the previous owner had ran 8ga amp cable from the battery to the + junction box on the fender. Only problem was that it was 2pcs and it was only twisted together with electrical tape holding it together - no solder
If I pulled this wire off of the battery, the car would die. I went home and made up a 4ga wire with some proper terminals and put it on. No issues now with it.
