Question Can't decide, Headers or Lowering Kit

I couldn't decide where the post this so I just put it in here.

I want to get LT headers so I can have more power (obviously) and to just kill mustangs when they try to step up . But then I also don't like the big gap that's in between the fender and stock wheels. The back springs are also squeeking everytime I go over a bump so that's annoying also.

So I need your guys' help to make my decision. I'm leaning more towards headers but I think that may be too expensive. I CAN get headers but then I'de be tight with money which I don't want. I need some opinions and what brands are best at a good price?

Thanks guys

Go headers, u can never go wrong with headers. I recommend PaceSetter Long Tubes, I had like a total of 5 minutes of time puttin them in place, i hear hookers are a bitch, but thats just my opinion, it also sounds real good with exhaust

headers, unless you have some bad problems where it would make sense to do the lowering kit while any repairs.

headers...

the squeaking is probably one of your bushings, or maybe your shocks.

those shouldn't be too $$ to change and fix the squeak

With a spring change you'll need good shocks, adj PHB, LCA relo brackets, and an alignment. Well, to do it right that is. This will end up costing at least as much as the headers. Most likely more.

You could cut 1/2-1 coil off your stock front springs w/a cutting wheel (DO NOT USE HEAT) and do the !isolator on the rears to get the drop. Then get it aligned and still buy headers.

Ok it's unanymous, HEADERS. So pacesetters are a good brand? Aren't the Pacesetters illegal or something, I read on PerformanceCenter.com that they are not to be put on Pollution Controlled Vehicles? Another question I have is will I need to buy a Y-pipe also or can I keep the stock one on?

well techinacally all LT headers are illegal since the cats are relocated... so no matter what LTs you go with, they are illegal... but you have see what the emissions testing is like where you live... yeah you will need a new Y pipe because the one you have now will only work with shorties good luck to you on the headers!

Re: Can't decide, Headers or Lowering Kit

Instead of LT's, go with some shorties and lower it with Eibach Pro-Kit's (only 1" drop).
