Re: Can't believe how much of a steal my car was...
I paid $9500 for mine bones stock with 28k. That was almost 3 years ago. I dont think thats a steal, but I was happy with what I got. The guy absolutely babied that car.
I test drove a few LS1's but after the LT1 test drive it was what I wanted. It was also 1/2 the car insurance, over 4k less than LS1's with similar mileage, and about 1/2 the price for future mods.

$2200 for a 94 Z28... 196,000 miles But all highway, and is a one owner car, the previous guy had 3 other 4th gens in his driveway(a base 3.8 firebird, a LS1 SS, and an LT1 TA) so I think it was in good hands

Re: Can't believe how much of a steal my car was...
that's an awesome price for that car. i also looked at mustangs when i was browsing.
i think i did so-so on mine. '98 silver camaro coupe. auto, Y87, power everything, CD, new goodyear american eagle tires, but with 97k miles. $5,500. i was thinking i got screwed a bit, but then i was looking in the local Trading Post at work tonight and a couple of ads were like...
--'97 camaro RS. front end damage. $4995
--'98 camaro V6 convertible. 102k miles, $6500.
--'99 camaro V6 coupe. 120k miles, $5900.
i spent two weeks research and looking at tons of local dealers online. i finally narrowed it down and this was the fifth car out of the 5 i called about. there was a nice blue '94 V6 camaro with only 46k on the clock and they wanted $6200. of course it was gone. Z28s are extremely hard to find around here for some reason. you find all these 6's in the paper and nothing except for the occasional 3rd gen V8.

Re: Can't believe how much of a steal my car was...
I just bought my 2000 Z28 A4 one month ago w/54k miles on it. Fully loaded, leather, t-tops, all of it in beautiful shape. Whoever had this car took excellent care of it. Picked it up for $10,100. These cars are rare in AK (doesn't mean the price goes up, it's not like these are practical cars. Lots of AWD Subarus up here. lol). The only other one i've seen for sale is another 2000 Z28 A4 w/50k miles, but w/cloth and no t-tops, asking $14k.

Re: Can't believe how much of a steal my car was...
Yeah, that's the problem for cars in the northeast. Premium sports cars have a premium price. The cheapest LS1 in my area was a 99 Formula with t-tops for $11k, but it was sold before I even called the guy The only other car in my area that was for sale was a 00 Trans Am non-WS6 with t-tops and tan leather interior with the monsoon, $14k.
