Can someone help me?

Hi everyone,

I am new here. I own a 2002 Camaro SS. When I bought it, the dealership did not give me a Dealers window invoice sticker. Does anyone know where I could find one? I want it to have all the specs of my car on it. Thanks for all the help you can give me.

I used to be a tech at a gm dealer and I know those cars in the showroom would get cleaned etc. and the detailers just threw that stuff away.

This question was in the FAQ at:

Q: Where can I get authentication documents and information for my car?

A: If you have a Pontiac, send your VIN and $35 to Pontiac Historic Services, P.O. Box 884, Sterling Heights, MI 48311-0884. They'll provide a copy of the window sticker and other info regarding your car. If you have a Chevy which was built in Canada, then call 1-800-263-3830 and ask for the Vintage Department. They charge $45 for the information. As for US Chevys, while there is currently no "official" service which provides such information, a company called AAA Enterprises (317-875-7635) can possibly get you a copy of your window sticker. If you know the name of the original owner and the dealership he or she purchased it through, call that dealership, give them the original owner's name. They should have a file with the original invoice Get a copy of the invoice and you can send it to AAA. They will get you a very close-to-original window sticker. Also, you can give AAA your VIN and every available option down to floor mats, and they will produce a window sticker from that info. It may not be exactly the same as the original, but it's close. AAA provides this for Pontiacs, too.

All the options and variable equipment is fairly well detailed on the build tag in the glove box (or sometimes on the drivers door). It has a list of the RPO codes for the equipment, right down to the springs. It can be decoded using several online reference sites. A dealer can also access the detailed info for the car, showing everything that was installed on it at the factory. For pricing, there is a book called the "Camaro White Book", with options descriptions, option costs, production numbers, color codes, etc. (ISBN 0-7603-1879-4).

You can get the production number and SLP option info directly from SLP.

Thanks for your response to my question. I bought the car new in Nashville, Tn and since then the lot that I bought it at has went out of business. They never gave me the invoice. It was also late at night when I finally got the car. They had to go to Ohio to get it and we had to wait on it to be delivered to the car lot.
